Nitin K. Goyal, Esq.
Nitin graduated from Duke University magna cum laude in 2005 with a degree in History. He received his law degree through a Merit Scholarship from the City University of New York (CUNY) School of Law in 2010.
After graduation from law school, Nitin founded and directed the Poultry and Livestock Workers Rights Project at the Farmworker Unit of Legal Aid of North Carolina. At the Farmworker Unit, Nitin represented low-wage migrant food-processing workers in the areas of employment law and humanitarian immigration law.
Thereafter, Nitin worked at a Raleigh-based immigration law firm before opening his own law practice in 2015. At his firm, Nitin worked in the areas of immigration law and wage theft law. He also worked extensively with a community-based organization for a number of years providing pro bono direct legal services in the areas of immigration law, employment law, and landlord-tenant law, as well as Know-Your-Rights presentations on 4th amendment rights with respect to non-citizens and immigration law.
Nitin joined The Law Office of Derrick J. Hensley PLLC in 2020.
Nitin is admitted to the North Carolina State Bar and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the National Lawyers Guild. He is fluent in Spanish.
